About the course
A career in Botany is one of the most preferred careers in India. Botany is a subject related to the study of plants. Modern Botany is a multi-disciplinary subject with inputs from other areas of science and technology. The department offers a BSc program in CBZ- Botany, Chemistry and Zoology.
Aims
To enhance the theoretical knowledge and applied aspect of the subject. To keep the students updated about the recent developments in the area of botany and to equip them to meet the industry requirements.

Since 1989
Vijaya College, Jayanagar, erstwhile BHS First Grade College took its genesis in July 1989 under the BHS Managing Committee's(now BHS Higher Education Society) holistic awning. What ideated in 1988 germinated and took form in 1989 as BHS First Grade College.
