Anjali
Art is the reflection of culture, which is a defining factor in all areas of life. To celebrate art and tradition is to hold up values of humanity. Anjali was constituted in the year 1989. Anjali provides a platform to scores of students to exhibit their latent talent in music, dance, writing and painting.
Activities 2017-2018
September 1 2017 Inauguration of Anjali, Scientia and SWAN. Dr KN Ganeshiah , Renowned Novelist was the Chief Guest. About 20 cultural competitions were held on this day.
Literary competitions in Hindi and Kannada were held in October 2017.
The cultural committee organized a talk and a performance by Mr Srinath, a well-known theatre artist and singer to commemorate the 88th birthday of renowned theatre and film personality B V Karanth. A program was organized on September 23rd 2017.
‘Radio Mirch Campus Star’ was held in the college on 14th October 2017. The event was aired live on Radio Mirchi. About 150 students participated in the event.
Literary competitions in English were held in February 2018.
The musical group of Vijaya College enthralled the audience with their songs at the inauguration of Bangalore Central University on March 7 2018.

Vijaya College, Jayanagar, erstwhile BHS First Grade College took its genesis in July 1989 under the BHS Managing Committee's(now BHS Higher Education Society) holistic awning. What ideated in 1988 germinated and took form in 1989 as BHS First Grade College.
The college motto 'Excellence in education' shines bright with the students' achievements in academics and extracurricular activities. With a humble inception, brick by brick the institution set out to add value to education and purpose to the courses offered. The college offers about 12 courses in the three faculties- Humanities, Commerce and Management and Science.
