Department of Computer Science
The Computer Science department was established in the year 1991.The department strives to impart logical and analytical skills
required to cope with the changing dynamics of the IT industry. BCA started in the year 2001.
The course provides the students with knowledge of the latest programming techniques like Java, Unix, Database concepts, Software Engineering, Computational Techs, Network and Cyber Security, etc along with strong basics of C, C++ ,Computer architecture, System programming and Operating System concepts. The course also equips the students to strengthen their technical skills with topics like Operation Research, Digital Electronics and Microprocessor concepts.
The department offers a number of Add-on courses to gear the students for the professional world:

Vijaya College, Jayanagar, erstwhile BHS First Grade College took its genesis in July 1989 under the BHS Managing Committee's(now BHS Higher Education Society) holistic awning. What ideated in 1988 germinated and took form in 1989 as BHS First Grade College.
The college motto 'Excellence in education' shines bright with the students' achievements in academics and extracurricular activities. With a humble inception, brick by brick the institution set out to add value to education and purpose to the courses offered.
